Kieran Murphy
Varsity Head Coach
A Fairport native, Coach Murphy has been a part of the Fairport Baseball community for nearly 30 years. He is a 2009 Fairport Graduate who then moved on to play collegiately at St. John Fisher College from 2010-2013. Upon graduation as a Math Education Major in 2013, Coach Murphy began coaching at the High School level at Fairport. As a teacher and coach in the district since 2014, Coach Murphy has been the Head Coach at the Modified A and JV levels as well as an assistant at the Varsity level. Outside of interscholastic baseball, he has been the Head Coach in the Interstate Collegiate Baseball League for 2 seasons (League Champions '21, Regular Season Champions '21, '22) and the Head Coach for the Brooks Shepard American Legion Post for 3 seasons (District Champions '15, '16, '17, NYS Legion Tournament Participant '15, '16, '17). He led his 2023 Varsity team to a Sectional Championship and his 2024 team to a NYS AAA Championship. This is Coach Murphy's fourth season as the Head Varsity Baseball Coach and he is extremely excited and proud to be a Red Raider. Have questions for Coach Murphy? Evan Newkirk
JV Head Coach
Coach Newkirk played in the Fairport Baseball program and graduated from Fairport in 2017. He played Division III baseball at Castleton University in Vermont. This is his fourth season as head coach. He currently works as a special education teacher in the Phelps-Clifton Springs Central School District.
Tom Rogers
Mod A Head Coach
Coach Rogers is excited to return to Fairport Baseball this spring. Growing up in Fairport, Fairport Baseball has been a part of his life for 30 years. He graduated from Fairport in '04 and went on to pitch for two seasons at MCC. Coach Rogers finished his playing career at Columbia Union College (Takoma Park, MD) Winning a USCAA National Championship in 08’. While at CUC, he earned a bachelor’s degree in physical education. Overall, he has been coaching baseball for 17 years at most levels in the community, ranging from Little League to college having spent one summer as pitching coach with the Hornell Dodgers in the NYCBL. While in college, Coach Rogers was Head Coach for Brooks Shepard American Legion. After graduation, He started coaching Section V Baseball in '09 as a pitching coach for the Section V Champion, Churchville Chili Saints. The next season, he joined the Fairport coaching staff. For Fairport, he has spent time as the Varsity Pitching Coach, being a part of sectional championship teams in '11 and '13. He was the JV head coach after his time with Varsity. After stepping away from coaching for a few years, Coach Rogers was excited to get back to working with Fairport Baseball. This will be his fourth season as a Modified A coach in Fairport.

Johnny Lansdowne
Mod B Head Coach
Coach Lansdowne is excited to return for his 5th year of coaching Mod B in the Fairport Baseball program. Coach Lansdowne grew up in Webster where he played both football and baseball through the Varsity level. He graduated from St. John Fisher College in 1996 with a degree in Elementary Education. He has been coaching both baseball and softball for over 19 years and is proud to have coached the 2021 Fairport Little League 12u State Tournament team to the state level for the first time in over 25 years. John has been assisting with the Fairport Baseball off-season practices and is excited to start the season.

Zach Frost
Varsity Assistant Coach
Coach Frost grew up in Syracuse, NY, and graduated from Jordan-Elbridge in 2010. He continued his academic and athletic career at St. John Fisher, where he played alongside Coach Murphy and Coach Sheedy, earning a degree in Marketing in 2014. After college, Coach Frost and his wife, Annalise-a Fairport graduate-lived in Nashville for six years before returning to Upstate New York. They now reside in Fairport with their two sons, Ty and Callan. This is Coach Frost's fourth year as a Varsity Assistant Coach and his sixth year coaching alongside Coach Murphy. During that time, he helped lead the 2023 Varsity team to a Sectional Championship and the 2024 team to a NYS Class AAA Championship.
Tyler Holmes
Varsity Assistant Coach
Coach Holmes graduated from Fairport High School in 2019, where he played three years of varsity baseball under Coach Murphy. He went on to play Division 1 baseball at the University of Hartford in Connecticut. This is his second season as a varsity assistant coach. He currently teaches 5th grade in the Penfield Central School District.
John sheedy
Varsity Assistant Coach
Coach Sheedy grew up in Syracuse, NY where he graduated from Jamesville DeWitt in 2009. He then continued his athletic and academic career at St. John Fisher where he played baseball with Coach Murphy and Coach Frost and graduated with a degree in Sport Management in 2013. He currently resides in Fairport with his wife Amber and two sons Jack and Niall. This will be Coach Sheedy's first season with the varsity team.
